Orit Freilich is a multi-disciplined artist,
fashion designer, and Senior Lecturer at the renowned Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art in Israel.
The light fixtures she creates are a unique encounter between elements from the world of textiles and of contemporary materials and advanced technology.
A special method of casting silicone allows for a joining of textures and materials and their combination with smart LED lights.
These are sculptural pieces, flexible and alterable, fluctuating between soft and hard, between transparent and opaque, beautifully transmitting light.
These light fixtures produce cool light and do not heat up; activation is switch free by touch (TOUCH technology).
This series of light fixtures were shown at the Goufey HaOr/Light Bodies/Fixtures exhibition at Periscope Gallery, Tel Aviv
